What is cineSync Pro:

  • Switch between anamorphic and standard aspect ratios.

  • Apply Three dimensional colour Look Up Tables (LUTs) to loaded movies and still images.
  • Apply soft or hard masks in any aspect ratio.
  • Zoom and pan to specific areas of interest.
  • Control cineSync Pro from the command line.
  • Runs on Linux (Suse 9.3, Ubuntu 7.10, CentOS 4.4 and Fedora Core 5).

You need a license to use cineSync in offline mode - we support either node-locked or floating licenses.

cineSync Pro can still be used in online mode using an enabled cineSync Pro account. Please Contact Us if you would like to demo cineSync Pro, and we will organise an account for you.

Things to Note:

  • cineSync Pro currently only supports stereoscopic QuickTimes that are side-by-side rendered. In other words the left half of the QuickTime is treated as the left-eye, and the right side as the right eye. Future versions will be more flexible.
  • When running full screen stereo mode the left eye is displayed on the main screen, the right eye on the secondary screen.

cineSync 1.2.7 Release Notes

  • Fix : Now no longer assuming that the duration of every frame in a clip is the same. While this is the case 99% of the time, some QuickTime encoders will vary the frame duration to achieve an average frame rate of 23.98 or 29.97 fps.

  • Fix : Black screen trying to play back DPX/Cineon sequences using GlueTools.
  • New : The frame rate indicator (little green icon), will now display the current frame rate when you mouse over it.

  • Fix : Certain graphics drivers cause a crash when trying to render a space character in a text box.

cineSync 1.2.1 Release Notes

cineSync 1.2 Release Notes

Changes between 1.2 and 1.1.3 on Mac OS X and Windows:

  • New: The session host can now 'Lock' the playback controls in a session. In this mode, anyone who has joined the session via the session key will be unable to add, remove, change or play movies.
  • New: The session host can now 'Lock Drawing' in a session. In this mode, anyone who has joined the session via the session key will be unable to draw on the screen.
  • New: Removed black outlines from line drawings.
  • New: Added a Buddy List that displays all of the participants that are in a session, including their drawing colour, and status.
  • New: Now displays a 'Invalid Movie' message when you attempt to load a movie that you do not have the codec for.
  • New: Listing Drawings in the markers list as type 'Drawing'. Text markers are displayed as type 'Label'.
  • New: Can now erase the drawings on a frame by removing it from the markers list.

Changes between 1.1 and 1.0.6 on Mac OS X and Windows:

Changes between cineSync 1.0.4 and 1.0.3 on Windows and Mac OS X:

  • NEW - Clicking on the frame counter will toggle between viewing the current frame number for the movie and the current time (which is synced to the starting time of the current frame). This setting is also remembered when you quit and restart cineSync.
  • NEW - cineSync now notifies you when any new movies have been added to the playlist.
  • NEW - You can now go to a specific frame number or time offset in the movie using the Go To menu item from the Navigate menu (keyboard shortcut 'G').
