VFX Supervisor Allan McKay and cineSync

Saturday, 10 July 2010

VFX Supervisor, Director and VFX artist Allan McKay has worked on some pretty impressive productions, recently including The Last Airbender, 2012, Daybreakers and the upcoming Priest from Screen Gems.

He recently sat down for an interview with CG Society and covered a range of topics from current trends in hardware, software and film making to the state of the industry as a whole - and how cineSync is helping:

From CG Society:

McKay agrees the industry right now is a little shaky with studios tightening production budgets everywhere. "Some industry technology being built around the industry budget tightening can really help get things done more practically and cheaper," he says. "CineSync and VFX tracking software allow shots to final quicker, so these are more supportive tools for the industry that definitely help streamline a lot of the production processes."
